In our guided tour you will walk along Brera District, discovering narrow romantic streets surrounded by traditional buildings, facades and churches.
This district is famous for being the artistic area par excellence due to the presence of the Brera Museum and numerous art galleries.
The tour starts at Largo Greppi, home to the Piccolo Teatro, one of Italy’s most prestigious theater institutions.
From there, we’ll move to the start of Corso Garibaldi, and continue to the Church of San Marco, whose 14th-century façade was later restored by Carlo Maciachini, architect of the Monumental Cemetery.
Key stops include Brera’s charming piazza and the historic courtyard hosting the Academy of Fine Arts since 1776 and the Brera Art Gallery since 1809.
We’ll admire 17th- and 18th-century architecture at Palazzo Citterio and Palazzo Cusani before returning to the medieval atmosphere in front of Santa Maria del Carmine, with its 19th-century façade echoing that of San Marco.
Finally, Brera isn’t just about art and history – it’s also known for its lively nightlife, which you’ll get to experience with a classic Italian Aperitivo!
This itinerary will turn out to be a journey through history, discovering the typical places of one of the most fascinating and glamour neighborhoods in Milan.
