Cancellations & Rescheduling

I need to cancel my booking – what should I do?+

You can cancel your booking by sending an email to tours@milanoguida.com, specifying the name under which the reservation was made and the email address used to receive the booking confirmation. As outlined in the Terms and Conditions accepted at the time of purchase, you will receive a voucher based on the following notice periods:

  • Up to 72 hours before the tour: a voucher worth 100% of the total amount.
  • Between 72 and 24 hours before the tour: a voucher worth 50% of the total amount.
  • Less than 24 hours before the tour: no refund or voucher will be issued.
  • Please note that no voucher will be provided in the event of a no-show or late arrival on the day of the tour.
Can I change the date of my booking?+

If you’d like to change the date of your guided tour, please email us at tours@milanoguida.com. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request, based on the following conditions:

  • Up to 72 hours before the tour: rescheduling is free of charge.
  • Between 72 and 24 hours before the tour: a fee equal to 50% of the tour cost will apply. This will be issued as a voucher to be used for a new booking.
  • Less than 24 hours before the tour: rescheduling is not possible, and no voucher can be issued.
How do I request a refund?+

If you're entitled to a refund based on the Terms and Conditions accepted at the time of booking, we will notify you directly when your tour is cancelled. If you have any questions or need assistance regarding refunds, feel free to contact us by email at tours@milanoguida.com or give us a call — we’ll be happy to help.

What’s included in the tour price?+

Each activity booked through Milanoguida is an all-inclusive package that usually includes (unless otherwise specified):

  • Entry ticket (if required by the venue or museum)
  • Booking and pre-sale fees
  • Priority access with skip-the-line entry
  • A guided tour led by a licensed art historian or archaeologist
  • Personal audio system to clearly hear your guide
How can I book a tour?+

Booking a guided tour is quick and easy:

  • On our homepage HOME PAGE, you’ll find the tours currently available in foreign languages.
  • Click on any tour to access its dedicated page, where you’ll find a brief description, all practical details (meeting point, duration, etc.), and the booking section.
  • Once you've completed your purchase, you’ll immediately receive a confirmation email with a summary of your booking.

There’s no need to print it—simply tell your guide the name used for the booking, or show the confirmation email directly on your smartphone.

Can I change the number of participants after booking?+

Absolutely, as long as there is availability on the tour. Just send us an email with your request and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.

Is it necessary to book in advance?+

Advance booking is strongly recommended: each guided tour has a limited number of spots, and they often sell out quickly.

That said, if places are still available, you can book up to 15 minutes before the tour begins.

Is booking mandatory?+

Yes, booking ensures your participation in the guided tour. Without a reservation, we cannot guarantee the availability of spots!

Can I book a tour last minute?+

Yes, all guided tours can be purchased up to 15 minutes before the start. The guide will be promptly informed of the visitors who have signed up close to the event.

Is it possible to pay on-site for the tour?+

No, on-site payment is not available. All guided tours must be paid for online at the time of booking, using:

  • Credit or debit card
  • Bank transfer (only upon request
  • If you need an invoice or wish to pay via bank transfer, please contact us by email, and we will provide you with the necessary instructions.

Will tickets be sent to my home? Do I need to collect them from a ticket office?+

No, there is no need to receive or collect tickets personally. Our guide will handle the ticket collection on the day of the tour. Simply show up at the time and location specified in your booking, and the guide will be there to welcome you, with everything ready.

Where will I receive confirmation of my booking?+

Once your payment is completed on our website, you’ll immediately receive a confirmation email with all the details about the meeting point, time, and our terms and conditions regarding cancellations or changes. If you don’t receive the email, please get in touch with us and we’ll help you resolve the issue.

What payment methods do you accept?+

We accept payments via credit or debit card. If you require an invoice, payment should be made via bank transfer. Please contact us via email or phone to receive the necessary instructions.

Payment can't be made on-site to the guide.

Can I book multiple tours at once?+

Absolutely! You can select and add as many tours as you like to your cart. Once you’ve finished choosing, just click on the cart icon at the top right of the screen to review your selections and proceed with a single payment.

Will I receive an invoice or receipt?+

As soon as you complete your purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details about the meeting point and time. If you require an invoice, please note that payment should be made via bank transfer.

Just get in touch with us, and we’ll provide all the necessary information to proceed.

In which languages are your tours available?+

Our tours are offered in English and, in some cases, also in French. We kindly suggest reviewing the information provided on each individual tour page, where you’ll find all the practical details, including the languages available for that specific visit.

How can I check tour availability?+

Checking availability is quick and easy! Here’s how it works:

  1. Choose the tour you're interested in on the Milanoguida website;
  2. Scroll down the page: just below the general description, you'll find all the practical information (price, duration, meeting point, language, what's included).
  3. A bit further down, you'll see an interactive calendar:
    • Green: plenty of spots available
    • Yellow: limited availability
    • Red: sold out and no longer bookable
  4. Click on your preferred time slot to add the tour to your cart and proceed with booking.

Please note: tours must be paid for in advance via online payment at the time of booking.

The date I want isn’t listed – can I still book?+

If the date you're interested in for the tour you’d like to join isn’t listed, it means that no guided tours are scheduled for that time slot.

However, if you have a specific date in mind, feel free to email us — we’ll be happy to explore the possibility of arranging a private tour just for you.

I need to update the names for the Last Supper tour – what should I do?+

To access the Last Supper (Cenacolo Vinciano), it is mandatory to provide the names of the participants, which become final 48 hours before the visit.

If you need to change any personal details, this can only be done if requested more than 48 hours prior to the visit. In this case, please contact us by email, and we will update the information for you.

Are your tours wheelchair accessible?+

Accessibility to the tours varies depending on the activity. Not all visits are fully accessible for people with mobility disabilities, but we clearly indicate in each tour description whether the route is fully, partially, or not accessible.

We encourage you to check the information in the tour details or contact us directly so we can assist you in finding the most suitable solution for your needs.

How can I contact you in case of delay?+

In case of delays or difficulty finding the guide, please contact us at +39 02 3598 1535 (select ext. 4) or via email. We will do our best to help you join the group for the guided tour.

How can I find the meeting point?+

The meeting point is clearly indicated in the booking confirmation and in the reminder you will receive 24 hours before the guided tour.

Do your tours run in all weather conditions?+

Yes, guided tours are confirmed even in case of rain, out of respect for those who have booked and wish to participate. In the event of extreme weather conditions, for tours held outdoors, Milanoguida will notify participants in advance if the tour is cancelled and offer the possibility of a refund. Until we announce a cancellation, the tour is considered confirmed.

Is there a dress code for any of the sites?+

Yes, when entering churches and cathedrals, such as the Milan Cathedral, it is necessary to follow certain dress code rules. Sleeveless clothing, low-cut tops, shorts, miniskirts, and hats are not allowed inside the Cathedral. If you wear inappropriate attire, you may be stopped by security at the entrance and will not be allowed access. We kindly ask that you respect these guidelines to ensure the sanctity of the place of worship.
